Arriving By Commercial Airlines

If you are arriving by a commercial airline carrier, you will arrive at the El Paso International Airport in El Paso, Texas. Upon arrival, you must report to the Military Liaison Counter located near the baggage claim area. This counter is manned from 0700-2300 daily (or until the last flight of the evening). There you will have telephone access to call the WSMR Staff Duty Officer (SDO) at (575) 678-8999. The WSMR SDO will deploy a van or bus to pickup you and your family members and provide transportation to WSMR. It will take approximately one hour for the SDO to arrive at the airport from the time you notified them of your arrival, so make yourself comfortable in the waiting areas or in the food courts to await transportation.

If you decide to take a Taxi to WSMR, expect to pay up to $200.00 for a family and $65.00 to $75.00 as a single passenger. Ensure you get and keep a copy of the receipts for reimbursement.
