Major Benjamin W. Klandrud


MAJ Klandrud is originally from Brookfield, WI.  In 2004 he graduated from Ripon College, Ripon, Wisconsin, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Cum Laude) in history and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Defense Artillery Branch.
His previous assignments include platoon leader time with D/1-43 ADA, Osan Airbase, Republic of Korea and B/1-7 ADA, Fort Bliss, Texas.  MAJ Klandrud continued his career at Fort Bliss with 1-7 ADA as a Training Officer and a Battery Executive Officer.  MAJ Klandrud did his first battery command with C/3-4 ADAR, Fort Bragg, NC before completing his second command of A/4 ADA at Fort Bliss, TX.  After command MAJ Klandrud deployed to RC-West Afghanistan as the operations officer of a Provincial Reconstruction Team.  Upon his promotion, MAJ Klandrud was stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany with 10th AAMDC and served as an ADAFCO and SGS.  His most recent assignment was Executive Officer of Combined Task Force Defender – 35th ADA BDE in the Republic of Korea. 
MAJ Klandrud is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Air Defense Artillery Captain’s Career Course, Air Defense Artillery Officer Basic Course, Airborne School, and the Army Mountain Warfare School Summer Course.
MAJ Klandrud’s awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Korean Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO ISAF Medal, and the Army Parachutist Badge.
