White Sands Missile Range Commander Brig. Gen. Gregory Brady welcomed 35 ranchers and family members to the installation, Sept. 11. The event is hosted annually in an effort to maintain a close relationship with the 85 ranchers in the surrounding call-up area who are occasionally called on to evacuate the area for particular missile tests.
In attendance was Brady, Garrison Commander Col. Christopher Ward, Test Center Commander Col. David Cheney, Chief of Staff Glen Adams, Acting Executive Director Richard Meador and Deputy Garrison Commander Tim Anderson. The ranchers enjoyed a visit to the museum led by museum director Darren Court and a visit to Launch Complex 33, the site where the V-2 rocket was tested in 1946.
The visit to the installation ended with a luncheon where Brady, Ward and Cheney thanked the ranchers for their dedication to the installation and dedication in keeping the warfighter safe.
